माँ हमारा व्यक्तित्व संवारती है, कभी बच्चों का हाथ थाम कर तो कभी अपने सहारे ही डोर खींच कर। आखिर "माँ तो माँ होती है "!!
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कुछ समझ आती
और कुछ बातें अनोखी कर जाती ।
माँ सिखलाती हमें जीवन के अनेकों रंग,
समय समय पर खींच कर अपने सहारे का संग।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? थोड़ी दूर साथ चलती
और थोड़ी देर में लुप्त हो जाती ।
एक वर्ष आयु में धीरे से छोड़ देती हाथ,
ताकि चल सको तुम पूरे आत्मविश्वास के साथ।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कुछ नख़रे सहती
और थोड़ी देर में डाँट लगाती ।
दो वर्ष पूर्व नहीं सहती नटखट नखरे पचास,
ताकि नैतिक मूल्यों से हो तुम्हारा आत्मसात।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कुछ समय संग खेलती
और थोड़े दिनो में अपने से दूर कर देती ।
पाँचवे साल पर रोक देती खेलना तुम्हारे साथ,
ताकि चखलो तुम जीवन में मित्रों की मिठास।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कभी तो खूब संवारती
और कभी एक टुक तक नहीं देखती ।
दसवें साल से तुम्हारे पहनावे का चुनाव करती खत्म,
ताकि बना सको तुम अपने अनोखे अंदाज स्वयं।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कभी तो घंटों बतियाती
और कभी एक बात भी नहीं सुनती ।
तेरह साल पर कर देती शिकायतों को अनसुना,
ताकि तुम बना सको खुद से जीवन मे रिश्ता गहरा।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कभी मूल मंत्र सिखाती
और कभी कोई बात नहीं समझाती ।
ठुकरा देती कुछ अपेक्षाएँ जब लगा तुम्हें सोलवा साल
ताकि ग्रहण कर सको तुम मौद्रिक मूल्यों के सार।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कभी हर काम में टोकती
और कभी कोई सीमा रेखा नहीं खींचती ।
नहीं रोकती तुम्हे कोई उड़ान भरने अट्ठारह साल से,
चाहती माँ, बुनो सपने भविष्य अपने अडिग सम्मान से।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? थोड़ी ज़िंदगी जितवाती
और कभी आगे रास्ता नहीं समझाती ।
बीस साल बाद खींच लेती अपनी विचारधारा,
ताकि चयन करो सही ग़लत बिना सहारा ।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? अब माँ कुछ नहीं सुनती
और किसी में हस्तक्षेप नहीं जताती ।
तीस के होते ही पीछे लेती अपने कदम,
ताकि तुम बिताओ समय अपने प्रेमी संग।
माँ ऐसी क्यूँ होती है? कुछ समझ आती
और कुछ बातें अनोखी कर जाती ।
साथ होते हुए थोड़ा साथ छोड़ देती,
दूर होकर भी सुनहरा व्यक्तित्व बनाती।
माँ एक निश्चित उम्र से ही बच्चों को धीरे धीरे कुछ चीज़ें सौंप देती है, लेकिन उनकी नज़र हमेशा बच्चों पर ही होती है। अगर हम जिम्मेदारी उनके कंधों से हटा देते हैं तो वे खुश और संतुष्ट महसूस करती हैं। यह बहुत सही कहा गया है कि "माँ तो माँ होती है", वह अपने बच्चों के लिए और उनके भविष्य की सफ़लता के लिए सब कुछ करती है।
तो इस 'मदर्स डे' पर, आइए हम अपनी माँ और ममता के प्रति आभार व्यक्त करें और मनोकामना करें की उनके आशीर्वाद का साथ हमेशा बना रहे।

क्या कहूँ। शब्द नहीं हैं मेरे पास। कितना सही और ख़ूबसूरती से बायाँ किया है "माँ"। अपने बचपन के ये क्षण तो ज़्यादा तो याद नहीं मगर हाँ इस कविता को पढ़ते वक़्त मुझे मेरा अभी तक का "माँ " की भूमिका में सफ़र ज़रूर आखों के सामने आ गया। कुछ काम, कुछ अदम, कुछ निर्णय एक माँ दूरदृष्टि से करती है। एक बात जो इस कविता में मुझे अच्छी लगी वह ये की किस प्रकार आपने बचपन से ले कर ३० साल की उम्र तर के सफ़र को भी माँ की भावनाओं के साथ पिरोया है।
माँ जीवन का वो दर्पण है जो हमे जीवन के हर मोड़ पर नयी सीख दे जाती है ....कविता के रूप में जो माँ के सरूप को सजाया है , बहुत प्रभावित करती है
When it's to explain mother, every word becomes less. She's the most important part of life growing from childhood to young age. We need her in every moment of our life. I've lost my mom 4 years back and still I feel so lonely each and every time. Thanks for such a lovely poem.

This is a beautiful poem about the universal truth, motherhood. The selfless unconditional love and support, the sacrifices she makes just so that her children are raised better, are unparalled.
bilhul sahi, isilye maa ke aage koi nahi. The love, affection, care and time a mom gives to a child can never be compensated or priced. We can only show our love and care for her back. I know this shall mean a lot to her.
